Snake Saturday Parade

The luck of the Irish is in full swing each March in North Kansas City with the Snake Saturday Parade. Put on everything green and grab a front row seat at the parade, stop by the carnival and the free children's area, or take in the car show!

Air Show

Each September the skies above Kansas City are filled with red, white, and blue as some of the country's most elite pilots show off their talents and their planes. From the breathtaking stunts of the Air Force Thunderbirds to the amazing Army Golden Knights, it's a sight to behold!

American Royal Rodeo

The action and competition of the American Royal Pro Rodeo and Youth Rodeo attract the best cowboys and cowgirls from around the country. The Youth Rodeo and Pro Rodeo are held each September at Hale Arena. You won't want to miss the excitement and thrill of Rodeo action.

Renaissance Festival

King Henry VIII and his royal court invite one and all to his 16th Century European village featuring something for the whole family. Pay heed to the exploits of jousting knights on thundering steeds, roam the village shops for unique crafts, delight in entertainment on one of our 25 stages, and feast on delicious food and drinks from the far reached of the globe!

Plaza Lights

A local tradition for 90 years, Plaza Lights is a 15-block holiday spectacle on the famed Country Club Plaza, featuring thousands of glimmering, jewel-colored lights that accentuate every dome, tower and window of the Spanish-inspired shopping district.

Christmas in the Park

Gather the whole family and head to Longview Park & Lake for this drive-through holiday pastime that touts colorful displays conjured up by more than 300,000 lights. With 300,000 lights, 175 animated figures and splashes of Christmas color, the entire family will delight in the magic of this enchanting drive-thru winter wonderland… a gift to you from Jackson County! Lights are on from Thanksgiving to New Years.
